2010 Ian Intensives – The Texas Tour
May 3-5 Mob Grazing/Financial Planning – Carrizo Springs
May 8 – South Poll Grass Cattle Field Day – Montgomery
May 12- Consulting Ranch Tour – Brookshire
May 12-14 – Graduate Seminar in HM Grazing Planning - Brookshire
Once again Holistic Management Texas is bringing Mob Grazing expert, Ian Mitchell-Innes from South Africa, to Texas for a series of trainings.
May 3-5, Ian will teach a three-day workshop in high density – short duration (Mob) grazing and the connection between financial planning and grazing planning from his unique point of view. This “Mob Grazing” workshop begins in Carrizo Springs, where class room instruction will take place in town and on-the-ground instruction will take place on the San Pedro Ranch during the afternoon of the second and third days. This is the perfect time and opportunity to learn how you can use the mob grazing technique during both the growing season and the non-growing season to increase forage production on your land. Ian has mastered the art of mob grazing during the worst drought in South African’s history and improved his land and ecosystem functions. Let’s learn together how to do the same for Texas.
Some of the focus points are:
• Money is Energy and Energy is Money – learn how and why they are interchangeable
• Being on the Land You are in the Energy Business – how is this?
• Land is a Solar Panel – how to maximize the capture of that energy
• The Bigger the Herd (Mob) the Better – why and how
• Why have Farmers and Ranchers Lost Their Social Standing? – how to rectify the situation
Fee for this 3-day intensive is $600 for one person and $1,000 for two people (includes lunch all 3 days). Class size is limited and will fill on a first come, first served basis. Register below:
